
At André Bazin, the quality of our products is at the heart of our priorities.
In order to offer our customers impeccable products, we take particular care to control each stage of the manufacturing process.
- Upstream :
We ensure that the raw materials received in our factories strictly comply with our specifications. Supplier audits are also carried out to guarantee the safety and reliability of our supplies.
- In production:
Critical Control Points (CCPs) are set up to ensure product compliance. In fact, each product systematically passes through metal detectors to control the risk of metallic foreign bodies. To guarantee optimum quality, we also offer, on request, an additional X-ray check, which limits the presence of a maximum of one bone fragment per 100 kg of product.
Compliance with pasteurization scales is systematically checked for each cooking.
Various checks are carried out throughout the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with the defined quality standards: our operators, fully committed to Food Safety Culture, play an essential role in maintaining this quality. These checks include, in particular, checking the weight and length, as well as metal detection during stuffing, in order to guarantee optimum quality.
- Downstream:
We systematically check that our final products comply with the specific requirements of our customers.
Of course, throughout this manufacturing process, we respect very strict hygiene rules, thus guaranteeing a production environment that is both safe and reliable. Also, our quality approach also translates into a site guaranteed to be glutamate-free and allergen-free, which allows us to reduce cross-contamination.
Our team
The quality team is currently made up of 6 people, two of whom are on the ground in production to support the production staff in carrying out checks. The quality department is committed on a daily basis to ensuring a high level of requirement at each stage of the manufacturing process. It also has a transversal role and works closely with the other support services with the permanent objective of continuous improvement of quality and customer satisfaction.
The quality department also works in conjunction with the laboratory, which includes 4 people responsible for carrying out analyses (nearly 10/year) on raw materials, products in progress and finished products. The laboratory also carries out surface checks after cleaning, as well as checks during the day to ensure that no contamination occurs. Sensory tests are also carried out to ensure that the product complies with customer expectations. The laboratory is also responsible for the legal metrology of the measuring and control instruments of the entire plant.
Finally, the quality department includes a sanitation team of 15 people, responsible for the daily cleaning of premises and equipment for the entire factory.
IFS certification: A guarantee of quality.
In 2024, the André Bazin company will renew its IFS Food standard for the 18th consecutive year.
What is IFS Food?
"IFS Food is a standard recognized by the GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) intended for auditing the quality and safety of processes and products of agri-food companies. It concerns food processing companies or companies packaging raw products.
IFS Food applies when products are "processed" or when there is a risk of product contamination during primary packaging. The IFS Food standard is important for all food companies, particularly those that produce private label products, because it contains many requirements relating to compliance with specifications. It values the production and marketing efforts made for the safety and quality of brands. »*
Food Safety Culture in the DNA of André Bazin Company
The IFS audit highlighted several strong points of the André Bazin Company, including the quality and involvement of our teams. The professionalism of our employees was particularly praised, as well as the spirit of Food Safety Culture, which is very present in the workshops. Each agent is able to detect an anomaly on a product, making our teams our first guarantee of quality.
Furthermore, the presence of quality referents, trained and dedicated to each workshop, was highlighted as an additional asset to strengthen the safety and quality of our production.
The performance of our IT tool is a real asset: designed specifically for our activity, this tool is considered functional and adapted to the operational. This allows us to ensure great efficiency in the management of our control points as well as our traceability.

Since 2007, the André Bazin company has been IFS Food certified every year thanks to the involvement constant commitment of its teams and investments in the maintenance and development of infrastructure as well as in the production tool.
Constantly listening to our customers, product innovation is at the heart of our activities. In particular, we have developed a range of IQF frozen products, offering greater flexibility thanks to the extension of their shelf life, while preserving the quality and integrity of the products.
