What was your career path to get to this position in the company?

“I joined André Bazin in 2011 as a temporary worker in the packaging department. Then I moved to the IQF B workshop. Six years ago, I was offered the position of team leader. And I’ve been in charge of the workshop for two years now.”

What do you like most about your job here?

"The challenge: no two days are alike. We always have new processes, new products, new constraints."

What are the main challenges you face in your job?

"Because of my career progression, before becoming workshop manager I was just a colleague, and I have a workshop where three-quarters of the staff are men. Once I took over as manager, it wasn't easy to show them that I was the one in charge."

How can we make these jobs more attractive to women?

"A little more communication about jobs in the agri-food sector. Showing that it's not necessarily a difficult or physical job. You can work with your head, with your brain; you don't have to have muscles."

A message to send to women who are still hesitant to take the plunge?

"I was told not long ago that gender doesn't define ability, so ladies, COME ON."
